How to apply for Board Certification with the Board of Examiners for Georgia Christian Counselors and Therapists.

The purpose of The Board of Examiners for Georgia Christian Counselors and Therapists is to provide accountability for Christian counselors and/or Pastoral counselors through Board Certification. We believe that all Christian counselors should be qualified and held accountable for their practices.

Our standards reflect the highest calling of our faith. The Board of Examiners for Georgia Christian Counselors and Therapists provides Board Certification for Christian counselors and/or Pastoral counselors who are committed to providing a high level of professionalism by using Biblical principles, conforming to our Statement of Faith and Code of Ethics. They must also follow established standards, personal; integrity and continual excellence through ongoing education and training.

There are two types of certification with the Board of Examiners for Georgia Christian Counselors and Therapists. Certification is available as a Christian Counselor and Therapist and or as a Pastoral Counselor. Please review the necessary qualifications to ensure that you are applying for being certified in the proper category.

BOARD CERTIFIED CHRISTIAN COUNSELOR AND THERAPIST

If you desire to be certified as a Christian Counselor and Therapist and presently or intend to provide Christian counseling please review the necessary requirements and qualifications and submit your application be certified as a Christian Counselor and Therapist.

Complete the application, selecting Christian Counselor and Therapist on the application.  Ensure that you have included all required attachments and submit the completed application along with the $150 application fee.  The fee may be submitted via credit card or to the address listed on the form. BOARD CERTIFIED PASTORAL COUNSELOR

If you are a staff member of a church or other ecclesiastical body and or provide pastoral counseling, and desire to be certified as a Pastoral Counselor, you should submit your application to be certified as a Pastoral Counselor.

Complete the application, selecting Pastoral Counselor on the application. Ensure that you have included all required attachments and submit the completed application along with the $150 application fee.  The fee may be submitted via credit card or to the address listed on the form.  You will find the application to be completed here:
